Edward Jake Gambo, Class of 1952, Passes Away
Jake Gamboe, age 76, of Paintsville, passed away Tuesday
at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Jake was born April 23rd, 1933 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late
Floyd and Ruth Fairchild Gamboe.
He is survived by three sons, Robert L. Rackley of Havelock, North Carolina,
James L. Gamboe of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Edward R. Gamboe of Zebulon,
North Carolina; one daughter Susan Cantrill of Paintsville, Kentucky; and
five grandchildren, Emma Victoria Rackley, Michael Jake Rackley, Nathaniel
Jake Rackley, Hannah Claire Cantrill and Mason Connor Lee Cantrill.
Jake was U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Kentucky – West Virginia Gas
after 37 years of service.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 5th, 2010 in the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Highland
Memorial Park, at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may call at
Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March
4th, 2010 and after 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday, March 5th,
2010.
